hier ein nadelbüchlein, das ich für eine stempelfreundin genäht habe. 2 von meinen blossfeldt karten auf stoff gedruckt, innen noch schwarzen filz eingenäht für nadeln etc. – inspiriert wurde ich dazu von der aktuellen cloth-paper-scissors.

inspired by the current issue of cloth-paper-scissors i made this needle book for a stamppal. the outside are two of my blossfeldt postcards, which i printed onto fabric. inside fabric from equilter.com & black felt for holding needles etc.

die früchte des hopfenbaums oder kleestrauchs… ich hab v.a. arabische schriftstempel benutzt um mal daran zu erinnern, dass viele unserer pflanzen ihren ursprung in arabien haben. ohne ihren import vor vielen jahrhunderten wären unsere gärten deutlich ärmer…

fruits of the hop-tree… i used mostly arabic stamps to remind that many of the plants we enjoy have their origins in arabia. without their import centuries ago our gardens would be much less attractive…

i liebe diese samenkapsel der “jungfer im grünen”… bestempelung diesmal überwiegend mit motiven von nick bantock, aber nicht nur… übrigens sind die “domino”-künstlerbriefmarken mal wieder mini-malereien von donald evans.
so, eine karte wird noch kommen, ich denke bald…

i love this nigella seed pod… mostly nick bantock rubberstamps, but others too… btw, the “domino”-postal artistamps are miniature handpaintings from donald evans.

während meine erste blossfeldt-karte vorwiegend mit postalischen stempeln (von ma vinci & rubberbabybuggybumpers) gestempelt war, habe ich hier nur welche von paperbag studios verwendet. gehören definitiv zu meinen lieblingsstempeln!

while my first blossfeldt card was stamped predominantly with cancellation mark stamps (ma vinci & rubber baby), this time i used stamps from paperbag studios. they are definitely amongst my favorites!

war heute in blossfeldt stimmung:) es wird wohl eine kleine serie werden, aber die anderen sind noch nicht fertig… musste jetzt endlich mal das aquarellpapier benutzen, das ich letztens eingefärbt hatte. (größe 10×15 cm)

i was in the mood for blossfeldt motifs today:) should become a series, the others are not finished yet… had to make use of the watercolor paper i tinted recently…

how beautiful is this?! i love sigrid´s style, i think it is incomparable. we were partners in two artmix-swaps, “numbers” and “nature”. so sorry i can´t catch the shimmer of the cards with the scanner, they are divine! and these blossfeldt images are right up my alley!!

as a surprise she sent me one of the charms she made for the charmswap, too! i´m doing the happy dance about it – LOVE these plantswirls!! and the charm is lightweight, so i will make it to be an earring. i bet all the people will “oooh” and “aaaah”:)))

ach, wie schön ist das denn?! ich liebe sigrids stil, er ist total unverwechselbar. ich war ihre partnerin im ketting der artmix-swaps “zahlen” und “natur”. so schade, dass man den schimmer der karten wieder mit dem scanner nicht einfangen kann! sie sind göttlich! und diese blossfeldt bilder sind einfach genau mein ding!!

als überraschung schickte sie mir noch eins ihrer charms mit, die sie für den charmswap gemacht hatte. ich freu mich wie doof! ich LIEBE diese pflanzenspiralen!! und das charm ist so schön leichtgewichtig, dass ich es als ohrring tragen werde, ha!, die leute werden staunen!!:)))
