on pantomusicals.uk i found a poster with this dracula and some bats, which i edited and also took as a base for the faux postage.

heute mal wieder ein file folder. besprüht im sommer, bearbeitung des fotos im oktober (siehe hier), bestempelt und mit ausgedrucktem spruch versehen…
im moment komme ich ja nicht so viel zu “handgemachtem”, da mir einfach die zeit fehlt (das liegt nicht an irgendwelchem vorweihnachtsstress, den habe ich nämlich nicht, dafür umso mehr last mit der schule). wenn ich es dann schaffe, mir ein paar minuten für mich selbst freizuschaufeln, reicht es zeitlich und energiemäßig nicht zu mehr als zu ein paar minuten vor dem pc. mit einer bildbearbeitung ist schnell gespielt, da reichen mir manchmal wenige minuten. aber natürlich möchte ich wieder mehr “mit dreckigen händen” gestalten, wird auch wieder, die zeit kommt… und dann hab ich einen bildervorrat angehäufelt, auf den ich zurückgreifen kann und ihn, wie z.b. hier, in journale etc einbauen kann…

at the moment i do not have very much time for “hand made” (not christmassy stress, but exhausted from school). when i have some minutes for myself, i only have the energy to sit at the pc and make some photo editing, which brings fast results in a few minutes. of course i want to create with “dirty fingers” again, and i hope time will come soon… meanwhile i will have amassed many pictures to use in my journals etc…

today the google doodle brought me to mind that it is the 65th birthday of freddie mercury. what a voice he had, really loved it… and one of my favorite songs of queen is bohemian rhapsody. so i started with this (credits for the horse: rian, thank you so much!): i took a scanned part of one of my sprayed backgrounds and layered it with the horse, added the text and printed it out…

heute hat mich das google doodle darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass freddie mercurys 65. geburtstag ist. was hatte er für eine tolle stimme! einer meiner lieblingssongs von queen ist bohemian rhapsody, also legte ich los: eingescannte sprayseite als hintergrund genommen und mit einem bild, das mir rian geschenkt hatte, gelayert. text dazu und ausgedruckt…

dieses bild dann verwendet für eine file-folder seite, auf der auch allerhand gestempelt (meine neuen zettis!) und getaped wurde.

die hummel hat 0,7 m² flügelfläche bei 1,2 g gewicht.nach den bekannten gesetzen der aerodynamik ist es unmöglich, bei diesem verhältnis zu fliegen.die hummel weiß das aber nicht und fliegt einfach.

wir hatten nochmal super wochenendwetter und ich hab gleich nochmal fleißig gesprüht. jetzt hab ich ordentlich vorrat. und so möchte ich meine digitalen bildbearbeitungen eigentlich primär einsetzen: ausgedruckt in journalseiten etc. eingearbeitet. leider hat der scanner die untere kante abgeschnitten, die seiten sind zu groß. i took advantage of the great weekend weather we had and made another lot of sprayed file folders. and that is the way i want to use my digital photomanipulations: printed and incorporated in journal pages etc. the scanner cut off the bottom as the file folder is too large…

was bin ich um diesen elefanten von tim holtz rumgeschlichen… brauch ich ihn, brauch ich ihn nicht… NATÜRLICH brauch ich ihn;)

for a long time i was hesitating… do i really need this elephant stamp? OF COURSE i need it;)

ziemlich geschlossene schneedecke seit roundabout 5 wochen – eigentlich schon mehr als genug für einen ganzen winter und sehr ungewöhnlich für die frühe zeit… wie lange er uns wohl noch im griff hat, der schnee? zum anschauen ist er ja ganz schön, zumindest solange er noch frisch ist… aber schneemänner baut hier auch schon seit jahren keiner mehr;)

a lot of snow since about 5 weeks… maybe more than the amount of an average winter… nice to look at (as long as it is fresh and clean), but it has been years since the last snowman was built…

wednesdaystamper – “da vinci”

theme at the wednesdaystamper challenge this week is “leonardo da vinci”. he was not only a great artist, but also a famous scientist. the background here is stamped with his drawings (stamp from judi kins).
the quote “scientists are peeping toms at the keyhole of eternity” also qualifies this for the current crazy amigo challege (“quotes”).

neues thema bei den mittwochstemplern ist “leonardo da vinci”. er war ja nicht nur ein grandioser künstler, sondern auch ein berühmter wissenschaftler. einige seiner skizzen sieht man hier auf dem hintergrundstempel (von judi kins).
bei den crazy amigos sind diese woche “sprüche” gefragt, dann passt das doch auch gleich;)

it all started with a “frosty blue” background, made with a wash of blue ink (i always take the thinned refills for inkpads, mostly the vivid brand) —

stamped branch (b line) and snowflake (heindesign) —

scanned a magazine picture and printed it on ledger paper, sewed it on —

another piece of ledger dyed and printed with one of my favorite quotes:

in the depth of winter, i finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer (albert camus)

auf blaugefärbtem hintergrund (wie meistens mit verdünnten vivid stempelnachfüllern gemacht) gestempelt (zweig: b line; schneeflocke: heindesign) —

bild auf kontenpapier ausgedruckt und aufgenäht —

auf weiteres kontenpapier (eingefärbt) einen meiner lieblingssprüche gedruckt und aufgeklebt…

for the new challenge we should think of wings and/or love…

das thema heute bei mmm ist “liebe” und/oder “flügel”, am besten wohl kombiniert.
