the fifth and final…
(click logo for more information)
hello, nice to meet you :) maybe you come here for the first time via the OWOH event, so here is a brief introduction of myself: i´m living in germany and making mixed media art, prefering to work with paper and fabric. heaps of stuff in all my house and i´m the happiest person if my fingers are ink-dyed and gluey;)
recently i got some braille books and thought i would share a few pages with other artists, as these books are not so easy to find… the book shown in the photo is too big and heavy to ship, but i will tear out some spreads (they are bigger than a-4-size, so i will have to bend them or cut them into half in order to put them into a big envelope). i will add some other paper stuff, too (old flea market book pages, vintage photos, napkins or such…) and some transparency photos. – i will fill one envelope for the first 100 comments, and if i get more another one for every 100 comments beyond (so two prizes if there are 101 and more; 3 envelopes for 201 and more & so on…).

the braille paper is manila cardstock qualitiy, so nicely heavy and perfect to work with. it can easily be dyed with inks, as shown in my sample below (NOT included in my shipping, just to show you how good this paper takes the ink).

this blog event is open to all active bloggers worldwide. if you´d like to win, just leave a comment at THIS post and on feb 17th i will announce the winner. please make sure i can get into contact with you.

it would be nice if you find the time to visit my blog (well, maybe after all the hustle when the event is over, so just bookmark it…)
the last two years i didn´t win a single *thing*, BUT: last year i got into contact with the one who found her love via this event (*big waving – you know you are meant*)… isn´t this the BEST result such an event can have?!!

last, but not least: huge thanks to lisa for hosting this event again… i can´t even imagine how much work and nerves are envolved in the organisation of OWOH… you have my full respect!
~~~~~~~
hallo an alle deutschsprachigen teilnehmer:
falls ihr zum ersten mal auf meinem blog gelandet seid, wollte ich mich kurz vorstellen: ich lebe in deutschland und liebe es, mit papier und stoff zu arbeiten… mein haus ist voll von sachen, die sich mixed-media-mäßig verwerkeln lassen und ich bin am glücklichsten, wenn meine finger farbgetränkt und klebrig sind;)
kürzlich habe ich ein paar bücher in blindenschrift erworben, von denen ich gerne etwas an interessierte abgeben möchte, denn solche bücher sind nicht so leicht zu finden… es gibt kein ganzes buch (zu groß und zu schwer zu verschicken), aber ich werde ein paar seiten heraustrennen und in einem großen umschlag verschicken (muss sie dazu knicken oder auf die hälfte schneiden, sie sind größer als din-a-4). ich lege auch noch anderes papierzeug bei (alte buchseiten vom flohmarkt, vintage bilder, servietten etc.) und ein paar fotos auf folie. – ich werde pro angefangenem hunderter bei den kommentaren einen weiteren umschlag verschicken, falls es mehr als 100 kommentare gibt.
falls du mitmachen möchtest, solltest du einen kommentar zu diesem post abgeben – am 17. feb werde ich den/die gewinner ankündigen. bitte stelle sicher, dass ich zu dir kontakt aufnehmen kann, falls du gewonnen hast.
wäre schön, wenn du meinen blog bookmarkst und vielleicht mal ausführlicher vorbeischaust, wenn der ganze OWOH trubel vorbei ist…
ein großer dank an lisa für das veranstalten dieses events – ich mag mir gar nicht ausmalen, wie viel arbeit und nerven damit verbunden sind!
  53. Hi Johanna,
    thanks for visiting our blog, will see what can be done about your preference, perhaps I can put you in the draw for number 3 only , if you like. Abgesehen davon ist es in den Händen des Glücks. Ooops that is the extent of my German. Agree with your comment on “copy and pasting”. I aim to be able to anwser all our comments personally and look at all the blogs of those who visited.
    Your idea of reducing your fabric by incorporating it into journals is a good one. Mixed media is so good for experimenting with new ideas and materials. I must find time to try it out!
    best wishes
