the three muses: the sea
the photo from the sea is layered with a ttv-texture from flickr; quote googled and some selfmade brushes added

on the swedish national day on june 6th i was in stockholm this year and photographed these balloons in the swedish colors…

SPA: by the light of the full moon
base for this postcard was a scan from an old children´s book.
i added a clip art witch, created tape brushes and typed the words onto them, giving them some shadow. a ttv-texture (free from flickr) laid over, done.
grundlage für diese postkarte war ein scan aus einem uralten kinderbuch. eine clipart hexe draufkopiert, tape brushes gemacht und in grün gestempelt, mit dem text + schatten versehen, eine ttv-textur (frei bei flickr) drübergelegt, fertig!

on pantomusicals.uk i found a poster with this dracula and some bats, which i edited and also took as a base for the faux postage.

take a word: manuscript
it is obvious: the month of halloween has begun…
the manuscript for this piece is a piece of old ledger, which i dyed and added splashes of red color.
i scanned it, added a silhouette photo (internet), text (font: blood of dracula) and selfmade brushes.
SPA: haunted
the background paper with the haunted house is from jessica sprague, the brush of the bat and the splatters of blood freebies from the internet. quote googled. and not for my life i can remember where i got this head from…
three-muses-challenge: birds
again some bookmarks, this time with the bird theme.
i love all these birds, but one of my favorites is the hoopoe, a colorful bird with a distinctive ‘crown’ of feathers. the stamp with his picture is custom made. therefore i used it´s swedish name härfågel, which i like especially.

die motivwahl für meine küchenglaswand steht noch aus. war ich mir aufgrund der einzelfotos zwischendurch sicher, die distelsamen zu bevorzugen, finde ich jetzt doch die bärenklaufotos wieder interessanter…

i knew i wanted a kitchen wall glass in blue tones, but the motifs…?
my first choice were the heracleums, then i thought i would take thistle seeds…
jetzt hab ich einfach mal die wand fotografiert und so in etwa grob mittels fotobearbeitung die bilder eingefügt… sind die disteln nicht zu langweilig? … werden es doch die bärenklau-fotos werden? …
i photographed the kitchen wall and sort of added the photos virtually… now i think the thistles might be too boring… good chances for the heracleum?…
texture tuesday: orange
this week´s theme at TT is orange…
one of my favorite autumnal joys in my garden are these “lantern” plants. here a pic enhanced with kim´s newest texture “partings”. i chose for a quote from william allingham, but shortened it for my purpose (original: Now Autumn’s fire burns slowly along the woods and day by day the dead leaves fall and melt.)
