new photo challenge starting tomorrow…

tomorrow a new photo art blog will start… every friday you can upload a photo – see details clicking the logo.
ab morgen gibt es einen neuen fotochallenge blog – jeden freitag kann man ein neues foto zeigen (details: logo klicken)

und so sehen zur zeit meine bilder aus… ich liebe die distelsamen, sie schauen so schön verwuschelt aus. das foto ist bearbeitet mit einer textur von pdpa (“pow!”), einer ttv textur von flickr und der font ist pea sugar noodles.

das reguläre bild für PAF gibt´s natürlich erst morgen…

of course the regular photo for the challenge will come tomorrow…

file folder: bohemian rhapsody

today the google doodle brought me to mind that it is the 65th birthday of freddie mercury. what a voice he had, really loved it… and one of my favorite songs of queen is bohemian rhapsody. so i started with this (credits for the horse: rian, thank you so much!): i took a scanned part of one of my sprayed backgrounds and layered it with the horse, added the text and printed it out…

heute hat mich das google doodle darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass freddie mercurys 65. geburtstag ist. was hatte er für eine tolle stimme! einer meiner lieblingssongs von queen ist bohemian rhapsody, also legte ich los: eingescannte sprayseite als hintergrund genommen und mit einem bild, das mir rian geschenkt hatte, gelayert. text dazu und ausgedruckt…

dieses bild dann verwendet für eine file-folder seite, auf der auch allerhand gestempelt (meine neuen zettis!) und getaped wurde.

die hummel hat 0,7 m² flügelfläche bei 1,2 g gewicht.nach den bekannten gesetzen der aerodynamik ist es unmöglich, bei diesem verhältnis zu fliegen.die hummel weiß das aber nicht und fliegt einfach.

the bumble bee has a wing area of 0.7 cm and a weight of 1.2g. according to the laws of aerodynamics, this ratio makes flying impossible. but the bumble bee doesn’t know this and flies anyway.

wir hatten nochmal super wochenendwetter und ich hab gleich nochmal fleißig gesprüht. jetzt hab ich ordentlich vorrat. und so möchte ich meine digitalen bildbearbeitungen eigentlich primär einsetzen: ausgedruckt in journalseiten etc. eingearbeitet. leider hat der scanner die untere kante abgeschnitten, die seiten sind zu groß. i took advantage of the great weekend weather we had and made another lot of sprayed file folders. and that is the way i want to use my digital photomanipulations: printed and incorporated in journal pages etc. the scanner cut off the bottom as the file folder is too large…

auch etwas, was man sich viel öfter klar machen sollte… alles eine sache der perspektive (in diesem fall: wie ein käfer die sonne über einem pilzhut aufgehen sieht…)

we should more often think about this… (here the perspective of a bug seing the sun rising from a mushroom hat…)


creavil challenge: indianer

die aktuelle creavil challenge hat eins meiner lieblingsthemen: indianer

hier ein tagbook mit transfers (mittels einer nitro-lösung) der tollen indianerfotos von edward s. curtis. die stempel sind z.t. selbstgeschnitzt (auch das alphabet).

zugegeben, das werk ist nicht mehr taufrisch, aber war noch nie auf meinem blog zu sehen… neu ist das layout: ich übe mich gerade ein wenig in bildbearbeitung (habe einen 6-wochen-kurs belegt und muss jetzt trainieren!). macht mir sehr viel spaß, frisst aber irre zeit. aber noch sind ja ferien;)
