take your sunlotion!! / creme dich ein!!

i´m always having trouble with my sons as they don´t get the importance of skin-protection!! somehow it isn´t “cool” or they are just too lazy or careless to take sunlotion.
so i made this simple altered cab card which i will hang inside the frontdoor at their eyelevel, so they will see it when leaving the house. not sure it will help, though.
done easily sponging the background with acrylics & stamping with foamstamps.

wednesdaystamper “games 2″ / mittwochstempler “spiele 2″

second entry:
i came up with something new sooner than i thought;) this is the copy of a cab card, painted with green lumiere, stamped with golden red acrylics and black brilliance. stamps i used are from ornamentum (the “halo”), ma vinci, teesha moore and skybluepink (the symbols and “joker”). cigarband from artchix.

zweiter beitrag:

altered cabinet card

today i altered my first cab card. the scan doesn´t show the shimmery paints of dr.phil martins (love these!). the ricrac was from carma biz (if i remember right) and fits perfectly to the background colors.

colored tape

rainy day. good for experiments. — my elder son is playing volleyball and therefore needs lot of adhesive tape for his fingers;) he always wants to buy the colored kind – “way cooler”. i see. and it´s way cooler for me, too – as we all know there is nothing in the house you could not take for your art, hehe. fact is: colored tapes are very limited to buy (blue, red, green, yellow). but… WHITE is the hit!! today i tried if dye inks would be good to ink the tape. what can i say – they are PERFECT!! you can give the inkdrops directly onto the tape and brush, add some water for lighter colors, you can make a mix, running the colors into each other… just as you need it for your project!

here are my first strips: i teared white tape from the bobbin, fixed it on a sheet of transparency (sorted out from older school stuff) and started painting…
how cool is that?!
