ja, ich weiß, das ist eigentlich ein art-blog,
aber ich freu mich gerade riesig für meinen großen (19 jahre), der mit seiner mannschaft soeben wieder in die 2. bundesliga aufgestiegen ist:)))

photobooth addiction

over the years i have collected lots of photobooth pictures. and now i decided to make a series of flashcard-pages and bind them into a book. (not that i don´t have heaps of unfinished projects here;) – but i can´t stop starting new ones…). most of my projects end up in book form;)

i think it will lead to another series, atcs “passport-like”. i need to use all those little pictures now…

(stamps are mostly from ma vinci, rbbb, zetti)


schon lange sammle ich solche passbildautomaten-fotos. und nun beschloss ich, dass es an der zeit wäre, sie auch mal zu verwenden. also ein neues projekt gestartet (nicht dass hier nicht schon genügend unvollendete rumliegen würden…), diese fotos auf den frisch eingefärbten flashcards… wird wohl (wie meistens bei mir) wieder in buchform enden.

und parallel dazu solls noch eine atc-serie geben, die an pass-seiten erinnern soll… mal sehen.

flash cards – backgrounds

there are days of creating, and there are days of preparing… i love to have backgrounds at hand when i´m in the mood to get started quickly. so today i dyed quite some of my flash cards (etsy-bought:)). i love the way these cards take the colors! it´s so easy-peasy to get them done: i take thinned dye-inks (my favorite brands are vivid, distressed, adirondack), 2 brushes and they are painted in seconds! a little water-spritzing (with the hand; i work on newspapers in my kitchen), done!


es gibt so tage, da krieg ich sonst nicht viel auf die reihe… aber es reicht zum vorbereiten von hintergründen. praktisch, wenn man dann was zur hand hat, wenn man schnell in die gänge kommen will!
heute hab ich mal wieder einen schwung flashcards eingefärbt (über etsy hab ich mir letztes jahr einen schönen vorrat angeschafft). ich liebe es, wie diese karten die farben so kräftig aufnehmen! und vor allem geht alles ratz-fatz: verdünnte refills (meine lieblingsmarken sind die stempelfarben von vivid, distressed & adirondack), 2 pinsel – das wars auch schon. noch einen handspritzer wasser (ich arbeite auf zeitungspapier in der küche), fertig!

castaway stamppad

hier sind zwei karten, auf denen ich mit dem castaway stempelkissen experimentiert habe. für beide hintergründe weißen karteikarton eingefärbt mit vivid dyeinks (verdünnte refills), nach dem trocknen katzenmotive (rbbb) gestempelt mit sattem castaway-kissen, nach trocknen des abdrucks auf stufe 3 gebügelt.

tmta – “roofs of our world”

took the stampington stamp “plaza domes” for this weeks´ challenge at tmta. didn´t want to distract from the image by embellishments, so: pure stamping, masking and sponging. and a little highlighting with the gel pen.

“dächer unserer erde” heißt das thema heute bei tmta.
ich mag diesen stampington-stempel sehr gerne und wollte ihn ganz alleine für sich wirken lassen. deshalb nur: stempeln, maskieren und tupfen; und ein bisschen gelstift.

little artbags received

i had ordered these two little artbags from lorraine, uk – she has some nice things in her etsy shop. i love the bright colors and the backsides are as beautiful as the fronts. the bags have the perfect size for holding a mobile.
(thanks for adding the fabric/transparency atc, lorraine! love it!)

hab mir mal wieder was von etsy gegönnt:) die zwei kleinen täschchen sind von lorraine aus england und größenmäßig perfekt für ein handy. ich liebe diese krachfarben und die rückseiten sind grad so schön wie die vorderseiten!

time rushed by… i simply didn´t find the time to check out all the blogs in the overwhelming long gypsy caravan (911!! oh my!!) of ONE WORLD – ONE HEART. but thanks to lisa “oceandreamer” swifka we were given a wonderful chance to discover new blogs all around the world, to bookmark them and to return in the future… (the list of participants will be online for the next months – so there will be more time to explore…).

thanks so much, lisa, i really appreciate all the effort you put into this event – it sure was a lot of work, but it was sooo worth it:))

finding out about my winner i used a random generator. blogspot doesn´t number the comments, so i had to count… and with the help of two other mathematically talented people (my sons, hehe, who came to the same result) it was a clear decision:
