on monday suddenly i heard loud bird alarm at our front door. i wondered what happened and saw that our tomcat had caught a magpie. ugh, that cat can drive me crazy killing birds!! but then i saw the possibilities (i will go straight to hell, i know)… so this actually is not a “raven” claw… i positioned it on a background paper i spray painted recently. layered with two free textures from flickr, ugglove from kim klassen and font is zombified. (find the other PAF contributors here; and the font name should qualify it for the upcoming zombie theme at SPA, too *g*).
edit: i just wanted to comment on the other entries, but at some blogs blogger won´t let me!! arghhh!! i´m getting frustrated with it!
am montag war plötzlich großer vogellärm vor der haustür. ich schau nach und muss sehen, dass unser kater eine elster erlegt hat. ich könnt ihn erwürgen, wenn er vögel fängt!!… aber dann sah ich die gelegenheit (ok, ich werde auf direktem weg in die hölle kommen). statt lange sinnlos mitleid mit dem vogel zu haben, tja nun… das foto zeigt also keine “raben”klaue… fotografiert auf kürzlich gespraytem hintergrund, mit texturen von flickr und kim klassen bearbeitet und dem font zombified beschriftet (deswegen zählt es auch zum kommenden sonntagsthema bei SPA, “zombies” *g*).

die seite, die ich gestern dazu gestaltet habe, wird in mein skinny halloweenbuch eingehen. – der textstempel (“nevermore”) ist eine sonderanfertigung.
eine schöne lesung (von christopher walken) seines berühmten raben-gedichts gibt es übrigens hier.

yesterday i made this skinny page (it will go into my halloweenbook). – textstamp “nevermore” is custom-made.

komm grade zurück von einem 4-tage wochenende der münchner stempelgruppe (bericht folgt), wo ich diese weitere seite für mein skinny halloweenbook gemacht habe. nehm das auch gleich für das “offene thema” diese woche bei den mittwochstemplern.
der textstempel “quoth the raven” ist eine sonderanfertigung von stempel malter. die raben sind natürlich von greenpepperpress und die weißen zahlen von paperbag studios.

i´m just back from a 4days-retreat of the munich stampinggroup (another post to come…), where i made another page for my skinny halloween book. raven stamps from greenpepperpress, white numbers from paperbag studios. textstamp (“quoth the raven”) custom made.
this is my contribution for this week´s wednesdaystampers “open theme”.

booklet “der rabe”

i´ve made the first of the booklets for the fabric book today (at least the pages; cover not done yet). it is the one with the german text. pages glued together with colored tape. pages separated by transparencies. (pic at the bottom is the inside cover + first page; last page shown on top)

seems these are the days to go on with half-finished projects…
the last weeks i started to prepare and collect things for a fabric book. it is based on my all-time-favorite poem THE RAVEN by edgar allan poe. concept is: to make 6 pages, which will be backed with black fabric. then each two of them will be sewn together on the bottom and the sides to form a pocket that is open at the top. makes three pockets for the text of the poem, which will be inserted in bookletform (divided in three parts; or two parts in englisch and one german translation). the 3 pockets will be connected by eyelets and fibers. i have some stamps and embellishments bought from silvercrow creations, which will be perfect for this:)
