theme at “take a word” is raven or blackbird. i used a claw photo i shot last year, blended in an old postcard, the blackbird songquote is from a stamp of greenpepperpress, mailart style brushes are made by myself, grungy frame brushes from shadowhouse.

i AM busy these times, but not so much with things i could show here. i´m planning my new kitchen i will get in august, i´m working on a photo-book (a guide for stockholm, where i plan to go in june)… all very time consuming. so not much time for cut&paste&paint. BUT: great news from my kitchen planner… i can cover the glass on my wall (about 50 cm x 2,20 m) with prints of my own photos!! and it is not even expensive!! costs even less than covering it with RAL colors. hooray!!
but for today a photo i made on tuesday, the ONE really sunny day of last week – a forsythia blossom (>SPA). i edited it for the time-theme at take a word, adding a scan of an old moon calendar. layered kim klassen´s “word” texture twice for TT.
nicht viel los hier zur zeit, v.a. nichts “handgematschtes”. bin sehr beschäftigt einerseits mit meiner küchenplanung (soll im august installiert werden), außerdem arbeite ich intensiv an einem fotobuch (einem reiseführer für stockholm, wo ich im juni hinfahren möchte). sehr zeitintensiv… ABER: heute gabs tolle neuigkeiten von meinem küchenplaner: ich kann die glaswand (ca. 50 cm x 2,20 m) mit eigenen fotos (oder gescannten collagen oder was auch immer) bedrucken lassen!! und das noch gar nicht mal teuer, billiger sogar als wenn ich es mit einer RAL farbe bestelle – ist das nicht suuuuuper?!!
aber für heute gibt´s erst mal ein frühlingsfoto – geknipst am einzig richtigen sonnentag dieser woche, am dienstag. die blüte qualifiziert es für SPA, das zeit-thema steht bei take-a-word auf dem programm, und kim klassen möchte bei TT einfach nur eine ihrer texturen sehen…
the flower is placed on a skinny (3×5 inches > take a word challenge) piece of ledger paper and layered with kim klassen´s little things texture. custom made brushes added.

still under the impression of the exhibition i visited yesterday, i made some brushes of georgia o´keeffe and her art.
heute war ich in münchen und kann nur sagen: eine FANTASTISCHE ausstellung!! hingehen und sich auch den audio-guide gönnen! tolle filmbegleitung, schöne textzusammenfassungen und diese FARBEN sind dermaßen wunderschön, da sind alle bilder, die man sonst davon sieht, nur ein armseliger abklatsch!! beeindruckende frau und so schön bis ins hohe alter von 98 jahren!
