wednesdaystamper “london calling”

1975 war ich zum ersten mal da – und es wurde sofort zu einer meiner lieblingsstädte (ich verstehe den hype um paris gar nicht… london ist doch viel lebendiger!). damals war ich mit meinem englisch-leistungskurs für 10 tage dort und es war der himmel – natürlich auch für musikjunkies: was hab ich da schallplatten heimgeschleppt!!
ich konnte also diese herausforderung der mittwochstempler nicht vorüberziehen lassen: hab einen ausschnitt der londoner u-bahn auf braille papier gedruckt, mit der tim holtz stanze ausgeschnitten… stempel sind von teesha moore (alpha für “my generation”) und die sterne von tim holtz. neocolor II, wollfäden, fertig.

ohh, london – i would love to live there for a while (if it wasn´t that expensive!!)

i´ve been there in 1975 for the first time (10 days with our school group) and returned several times later… love this city (much more than paris…)! i remember that back in 1975 my arms were long when we came back – with luggage full of records of my favorite music!

fabric-paper-journal: new spread

a new spread for my paper-fabric-journal “love”;
on the left side a paper strip with photos of my family, sewed on only on top and bottom, so it can hold a photo or two…
right side: on the glassine envelope a photo of jim morrison – the lyrics from the doors are inside on a tag – the quote “love is the answer” is matching this week´s 3-muses-challenge… — plus the theme “valentine or love” at the stampotique designers challenge is not asking for stampotique stamps especially this week, so here i go… and not to forget the wednesdaystampers, also with the theme “expressions of love”.

auf der linken seite ein papierstreifen mit fotos meiner familie, der nur unten und oben angenäht ist, und deshalb ein oder zwei fotos halten kann…
rechts ein umschlag mit einem foto von jim morrison von den doors und auf dem tag ein liedtext von ihnen, den ich für die herausforderung der 3 musen genommen habe: “zitate”…
und da sich auch bei den mittwochstemplern und stampotique designern alles ums thema liebe dreht, passts da auch;)

concerning my hiatus: the surgery had to be deferred to (hopefully) next week, because they wouldn´t run the risk to anesthetize because of my cold… it´s not fun to sit in the waiting position, but of course i don´t want to risk a pneumonia.

so i surprisingly got the chance to play at the wednesdaystampers… and i would have hated to miss this theme!! aren´t we all waiting for the movie??


tja, nun bin ich doch wieder daheim – die op musste wegen meiner erkältung verschoben werden. hoffentlich klappt es dann nächste woche, denn die warterei ist auch nervig… aber natürlich möchte man keine lungenentzündung riskieren, bloß weil man ungeduldig ist.

das verschafft mir jetzt die gelegenheit, bei diesem tollen thema der mittwochstempler dabei zu sein… hätt mich auch geärgert, wenn ich das verpasst hätte;)!! wir warten doch alle sehnsüchtig auf diesen film!!!

wednesdaystamper – “da vinci”

theme at the wednesdaystamper challenge this week is “leonardo da vinci”. he was not only a great artist, but also a famous scientist. the background here is stamped with his drawings (stamp from judi kins).
the quote “scientists are peeping toms at the keyhole of eternity” also qualifies this for the current crazy amigo challege (“quotes”).

neues thema bei den mittwochstemplern ist “leonardo da vinci”. er war ja nicht nur ein grandioser künstler, sondern auch ein berühmter wissenschaftler. einige seiner skizzen sieht man hier auf dem hintergrundstempel (von judi kins).
bei den crazy amigos sind diese woche “sprüche” gefragt, dann passt das doch auch gleich;)

i will use the open theme at wednesdaystampers to show you the christmas cards i made for our annual project at the munich stampers group. each year we choose a certain size (and leave a space at the left to bind all contributions into a book). i made the required 26 tags in august (yes, later would be too stressy;)) – so actually these are the only christmas cards i make…
have a merry and peaceful christmas all out there!!

für das weihnachtsprojekt des münchner stempeltreffs habe ich dieses jahr (im august!!) 26 karten gemacht, hier vier davon…
wir legen immer eine bestimmte größe fest und lassen den linken rand frei zum binden.
tatsächlich sind das ziemlich die einzigen weihnachtskarten, die ich mache… denn nach dieser aktion ist bei mir meist die weihnachtliche luft raus;)
mit besonderem gruß an das team der mittwochstempler…

wonderful theme at the wednesdaystamper challenge… these colors call for a winter scene…
took a cyanotype (aka blueprint) picture, added text via picture it and stamped snowflakes from lost coast design
schönes thema bei den mittwochstemplern, schreit ja förmlich nach einer winterszene…
die cyanotypie (“blaudruck”) mittels picture it – programm beschriftet und dann noch bestempelt mit flocken von lost coast design.

dark and scary santa…

i was just making this atc for the current art-on-the-darkside challenge (bad santa), then i saw wednesdaystampers have the santa-theme, too. i hope you are not too scared;)

got the pic a while ago in a dark yahoogroup (which no longer exists, so i can´t give credits, sorry)

war grade am machen dieser atc für art-on-the-darkside, da kam das neue thema der mittwochstempler rein. santa claus. na, besonders santa ist der vermutlich nicht, aber man solls ja auch mit dem kitsch nicht übertreiben (*g*; das SPA thema nächsten sonntag wird dann wieder “klassischer”, versprochen;))

textstempel von rbbb; für das bild kann ich leider keine quellenangabe liefern, habs mal in einer yahoogruppe über “dark” art gekriegt, die gibts aber leider nimmer.
