texture tuesday: orange

this week´s theme at TT is orange…
one of my favorite autumnal joys in my garden are these “lantern” plants. here a pic enhanced with kim´s newest texture “partings”. i chose for a quote from william allingham, but shortened it for my purpose (original: Now Autumn’s fire burns slowly along the woods and day by day the dead leaves fall and melt.)

recently i was in heidelberg and this is the cover of a photobook i created about the trip…
here layered with kim klassen´s texture “sunkissed” –
and sunkissed we were at that weekend… we heard a wonderful concert in the evening of july 7th in the castle courtyard with the us army europe band and chorus. delightful!!

“blackbird” (beatles song > take a word challenge) – brought to my mind because our tomcat caught 2 young blackbirds recently. i hate it when he does this, but well, that´s nature…
for TT this week we can take any photo we made – this time i took two textures from flickr, one for the blue effect and one for the frame. font: second breakfast.

made this photo last year in spring (red chestnut alley in the hofgarden in munich) and edited it for this week´s kk-challenge with two of kim´s textures: cool grunge + 2x and then some

i will be away for the rest of the week, going to a 5-days trip to stockholm with 3 girlfriends. the weather forecast is not what we hoped for, but we will have a great time anyway :)

the same question every season;)

the challenge at “take a word” this week is peacock…
(i always thought white peacocks are albinos, but there is another pigment reduction called leucism… so don´t say these challenges are not improving my knowledge;))
