seit etlichen monaten schon lande ich beim web-surfen immer wieder wieder bei einer besonderen art von fotos, den “through-the-viewfinder” (kurz ttv) – bildern. sie haben ihren eigenen charme, weil sie durch unschärfe, gewollt sichtbare staubkörnchen etc alt aussehen, obwohl ihre motive durchaus “frisch” und schön bunt sind. beliebte motive für diese art fotos sind pflanzen, natur im allgemeinen, jahrmarkt (karuselle, riesenrad), puppen uvm.
die fotos sind meist quadratisch, oft mit schwarzem rand und beispiele sind hier zu sehen:

erst dachte ich, wenn man die mit alten kameras (kodak duaflex, holga…) macht, hat man ein problem heute noch die passenden filme zu bekommen… jetzt erst hab ich kapiert, dass man nur durch die alte linse mit einem neuen fotoapparat knipsen muss!
ich seh´s schon kommen… dabei ist ein neues hobby genau das, was ich noch gebraucht hab…
mittlerweile findet man via google etliche infos zu dieser art fotos zu machen, auf flickr sind sie auch sehr beliebt. it´s been a few months now that i feel drawn to a certain kind of photos, which are called “through the viewfinder” (ttv). they have a very own charm, often look “out of focus”, with small dust-points on the lense, but “fresh” and colorful motifs (as f.e. plants, esp. flowers, nature in general, fairs (carousels, ferris wheels), dolls etc.)
the photos mostly have a square format, often with black edges and you can see samples here:

first i thought if you make them with the older cameras (kodak duaflex, holga…) there is the problem still to find films for these… but now i figured out that you can take the pic with a modern camera through the older lens!
oh my, do i really need another addiction?! lol!!
