texture tuesday: happiness

this week the showcase of TT should be around the word “happiness”.
i had a very happy moment last thursday when i came home from work, hungry as usualy, and didn´t have to cook because my son had prepared this delicious meal in his tajine (just rice, carrots, paprica, zucchini, a tomato and basil… oh so yummy!!)
the photo on the top contains kim´s textures canvas back magic and primmed (as the base for the text), the lower one is made with kim´s if only.
[it´s so good when the kids grow up and can help out their mum;)]

texture tuesday: story

above you see a “journaling card” telling the story (-> texture tuesday theme of the week) of my love to spindle tree fruits. i couldn´t stop taking pictures of this gorgeous seeds last fall & finally planted one into my garden.
below i embedded one of my photos in a square layout (also used a scan of an old botanical book and a bird brush from jessica sprague)

TT – “open”

kim asked for this texture tuesday to think around the word “open”… i googled for quotes and found this one: “the only way to find true happiness is to risk being completely cut open” – i edited it kim´s texture “autumn burst” (blending mode overlay) and twice nancy donaldson´s texture “pole3″ (at soft light). brush at the bottom right is selfmade…

TT – “embrace” texture

a new freebie from kim klassen for this week´s texture tuesday: “embrace”… i love the perforation on the top… and i also learned from kim how to make your own brushes (more on this on a later post, as soon as i find time…). she really is such an inspiration for getting started in photo editing! thanks so much, kim:)
we had almost no snow so far, so this photo shows our winter quite realistic for crazy amigos challenge “wintercolors”.
